LA Food Bloggers

Other than the LAWeekly food blog, I am only away of Kevineats. I adore Kevineats reviews for his great commentary and beautiful pictures. I use his reviews as a cheat sheet when I try a new restaurant (I literally pulled out a post it as I was ordering at Lukshon). Are there any other LA food bloggers like Kevineats (not necessarily with as big of an expense account)?

Secondly, how do yo chowhounds hear about special foodie events such as Ludo Bites 7.0, LQ @ SK and Bistronomics? I only hear about them through Kevineats. This may be a ridiculous question, but is their a universal LA calendar of all the exciting foodie events?

Thanks in advance!

        1. I give food bloggers little credibility. Some, take beautiful photos of the dishes at restaurants which are clearly comping meals. Those same bloggers will take photos which make the food look horrible. Obviously, at restaurants who comp, bow and scrape the food is going to look so pretty. Just because one can take a pretty picture of a wine bottle and get the chef to "personally" shave your truffle still doesn't mean that you know squat about good food. Just sayin...............
