Pre-theater Sunday lunch/brunch with theater-loving 11 y/o girl?

Planning for a show in February, but she wants to choose the restaurant now.

Near 49th St./8th Ave...not too far from there, as for all I know it may be blizzarding.

She is a sophisticated young person and would like someplace that seems elegant and adult to her (French?), although she has broad tastes in food. She is an actress and theater lover, so if you know of a place that has any kind of theater connection or theater theme, that would be ideal (but not too expensive, to please her mother).

Thank you!!!

Sardi's most definitely has a theater theme. It's on the expensive side, and I haven't eaten there in so long I don't remember whether the food is any good or not. But your daughter would probably like looking at all the autographed caricatures of theater folk. I did, when I was an eleven-year-old theater-loving girl.

I've been to Marseille with mixed age groups. Good food and it's in the theater district.
