Need suggestions

For our monthly Ethnic dining group need ideas:
for 10-15 people
not Eastern European, not Asian, not Mexican (we've been overwhelmed by these choices recently),
not too spicy

Dining out about $35 ean including tip + taxes

    2. Middle Eastern.
      How does bbq strike you?
      Puerto Rican
      Southern Soul food
I know that Asian is not preferred, but have you been for Korean BBQ? - very good for large groups

Eithiopian Diamond, or Ras Dashen for me. Admittedly, I have not been to any others. Demera has fans.

I'd suggest almost anywhere in Greek Town. Greek Islands is a personal favorite, but I don't think you can really go wrong.

            Greek Islands Restaurant
            200 S Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60661

I second Greektown, but prefer the Parthenon (I think it's more authentic).
For Middle Eastern I'd recommend Semiramis or Noon-o-Kebob, just a couple of blocks apart.

              Good Ethiopian suggestions.

Try Taste of Peru for amazing South American fare.

              Taste of Peru
              6545 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60626

              Noon O Kabab
              4661 N Kedzie Ave, Chicago, IL 60625

              Parthenon Restaurant and Banquets
              314 S Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60661

        1. Latin fusion (Carnivale)
          Jewish deli (Steve's Deli)
          Dutch (Vincent)
          Belgian (Leopold)
          Turk (Turquoise Cafe)
          Cajun/creole (Heaven on Seven)
          Argentine (Tango Sur)
          Peruvian (Between)
          Brazilian (Brazzaz)
          Tapas (Cafe Iberico)
          Afghan (Kabul House)
          German (Laschet's)

If I had to choose just one of these places, I'd go to Kabul House in Skokie. The food is very good and really different from what you find elsewhere, it's not expensive, and most people probably haven't been there (or even heard of it).
