R23 Sushi-Downtown L.A.?

I'll be dining at R23 Sushi for the first time tonight, are there any must try dishes anybody can suggest ordering? Love all cuts of sushi fish.

How sad! I used to love tnat place. I loved how difficult it was to find the place. I loved tne Gehry chairs. And the food was very good then -- and presented so beautifully. Is it really lousy now? I always wanted to take my son there... Guess i blew it.... :(

No, it is not lousy. But I agree that something is missing. The food however is good. They still do the seared salmon sushi and a good crab salad. Just for sushi, it's better at Sushi Gen and at Mako.

Sushi Gen, maybe (but not on a cost-to-quality ratio).

But certainly not better than Mako.
