Pre-Marathon Italian Restaurant with 2-kids

Hi, we will be visiting Philly for the Marathon on November 20th. Can anyone provide a suggestion for a good Italian restaurant that would be suitable to bring a 6 month old and a 6 year old. Doesn't need to be fancy, just solid food and a good atmosphere.

Thanks for you suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into all of them and report back on what we decide.

    Thanks!

I recommend Ralph's on S. 9th Street. Very good and very family friendly!

If you're staying by the airport, you should look for threads on South Philly places. I don't know most of them, but there are a lot of family-oriented south Philly places that would have good pasta dishes. For center city, Pietros is a good carbo-loading restaurant, and my usual pre-marathon rec, but I don't think it's worth heading into town for.

You can go to Criniti's on Broad St just north of Oregon Ave. From where you are staying, hop on I-95 North and get off at the Broad St exit (not a long drive). Head north on Broad and you will drive right past it in about 10 minutes. Nothing fancy, but very family friendly.

I second Criniti'son Broad street. It will be easy to get to from the Airport. Family friendly, basic Italian, recommend the mushroom ravioli.

Where will you be staying? Will you have a car? How early do you want to eat?

We will be staying at the Airport Hilton, but have a car and are willing to drive into Philly. We are planning to eat pretty early, around 5:30 or 6pm.

              Thanks.
