Tonight Indian Delivery/Take Out - Leslieville (AND NOT AMAYA)

Hi,
I am looking for some suggestions for a place to order in/ pick up for Indian food tonight (greenwood and queen area).

We have tried Amaya... ever since they became a food dynasty not nearly as fresh, hot or tasty. BBQ-Hut was a disaster the last time we tried from them. A couple of people at work mentioned take out from Lahore Tikka House?

I am open to any and all suggestions.

Siiddhartha (on Gerrard) delivers and the food always seems very fresh.

Makkah's a good choice, and fairly close. If you can drive the extra 8 minutes, I would suggest trying out Raby's which on Overlea/Thornecliffe. Been there twice in the past week, and both times have been really good. Order 1 of their combo meals for sure, and maybe a couple curry dishes on the side.

I like Makkah, but isn't it more Pakistani? Anybody expecting butter chicken and mattar paneer might be disappointed.

I thought their butter chicken was pretty good. They've got mattar paneer on the menu. Just ordered delivery from there tonight, though neither of those dishes. Always satisfying and reasonably priced.

Some of the people who work there may be Pakistani, but I know some are from northern India. The food in the north part of India is very similar to Pakistani food as it is close to the border, and it was one country in the past. They have Tandoori Items, and I think they have butter chicken. I know I have mentioned that certain restaurants are Pakistani and not Indian, mainly because they serve mainly Pakistani items. But Makkah serves a variety of food from northern India.

What about Moti Mahal in Little India? Used to get good reviews. I haven't been in a few years.

How about Makkah at 1020 Danforth Ave? They are pretty good. Have you tried "Famous"?

I think my last choice would be LTH, if all the other places closed down and I had to get some take-out. You may find the food there very oily.

I'm making Indian food tonight as I find that the best.
