You beat me to it. Shockingly good BBQ, especially for Seattle. Do not miss the Greens.

So right - don't miss the greens. If you take friends, though, you can probably sample everything on the menu. The hush-puppies are a little erratic - sometimes too sweet, sometimes over or under caramelized, but usually the best I've had outside Alabama.

I like Thai One On well enough, but if you go a little further south, I think Phayathai is better.

Up north again near Thai One On is some pretty good sushi at Toyoda Sushi.

I have had many good Chinese meals at Yu Shan, just over the city line. They also deliver in my neighborhood, Cedar Park, which I greatly appreciate.

I am not giving specifics because all of these have been reviewed elsewhere on this board.

I haven't been to Toyoda Sushi lately but I used to be pretty regular and always enjoyed it. There is a little deli South of 125th on the East side of Lake City Way that sells prepared Iranian dishes called confusingly the Pacific Market. I haven't been there but I am curious if anyone else has.

The Mongolian food at Teriyaki Joy. The falafel and gyros at Lake City Gyro, right next door. And Kaffeeklatsch. Would be 3 worth checking out.

Also, Pinehurst Pub nearby can occasionally put out a nice homestyle dinner special. It's a once a week chef special on Tuesday or Wednesday or something.

Thanks everyone! I've been traveling north from Ballard for 10 years just for Toyoda. Had take out for 4 people Friday night and it's a good as ever. Our first night in the hood we had Thai one on delivered and did not think it special, but we'll go back. Rainin ribs I'm ON IT.
