Using pork instead of beef or chicken in chili??

Does anyone use pork instead of beef or chicken in chili? I want to make some chili this weekend but thought about using pork, pork shoulder specifically, instead of the traditional beef. Any thoughts, ideas or recipes?

Certainly. You can use anything you like with more than reasonable success. I've only used pork for chili verde but I've also made it with beef. I also use venison for red chili. Cubed pork shoulder is a great choice. Just use it in any recipe that appeals to you.

Yes I want to make red chili. I'm having guests and want to keep to the more traditional chili with pintos, green peppers, onions, tomatoes and such.

One of the chili recipes (red) I make calls for both ground beef and ground pork - I've done all pork and it's been just fine. Cubed shoulder would work well too.

red chili? I don't know why not. I like pork for green chili.
