Casual Dinner in the Annex?

Hi all - I'm looking for recommendations to have dinner with a couple of my friends in the Annex (preferably close to Spadina or Bathurst stations). We like all types of food, and aren't very pick. We just want somewhere with good value and a nice atmosphere where we can savour some time for girl talk. Thanks!

My gfs and I have dinner at Sushi Couture about once a month. Great place to have some yummy sushi and catch up without feeling rushed out.

Just enjoyed the burger at Fanny's. Still think it is one of the best.

Grapefruit Moon has good options and good enough food at decent fare. There's nothing fancy about this tiny spot, a few blocks north of Bloor on Bathurst, but it does have a certain casual charm.

I really like Serra, on Bloor, west of Spadina. Easy, contemporary Italian in a nice atmosphere. Good prices, laid back. It's not haute, hip or hot, but it's great for a laid back evening with friends. It's been around forever, and for good reason. And you can have a conversation in there without shouting. Always a plus, in my books. :)

My girl friends and I really enjoy Mt. Everest on Bloor (south side between Spadina and Bathrust). It is cheap and cheerful but good quality fresh Indian food - according to the website it is Royal Indian and Nepalese . The chicken tikka is one of my fav's.
