Any Good Taiwanese Chinese in San Diego?

I know a branch of Liang's opened there recently, but are there others? I have to be down there on business a couple of days next week.

Not really. If you're looking for soups and dumplings on the level of Din Tai Fung, you can't do better down here. Liang Mama is the only game in town, though both Chin's locations (Convoy, Miramar) have weekend Chinese breakfast/brunch menus that include some Taiwanese items.

Taiwanese cooking is some of the best in the world- it's something we're sorely missing down here.

    Sorry!

Savory Garden, Tea Garden and Lai Chen also serve taiwanese style food but the former two aren't anything to write home about and I haven't heard anything good about Lai Chen. In short, unless you aren't from LA and have an intense craving for taiwanese food I'd probably find something else.
