5 hour layover in Dubai, looking for good cheap eats

We are traveling on a layover into India in a week and would love your recommendations for a reasonably priced meal. Nothing fancy, just good and inexpensive. Nothing extensively far from the airport either. If we have time, we'd like to go to the Burj as well.

You're probably in India now, but five hours isn't a long time for a layover. Getting out of customs at Dubai airport can take a long time.

In case you have't left yet, just go straight to the Dubai Mall at the base of the Burj Khalifa. There's a large outdoor lake and promenade from where you can admire the skyscraper, and the mall has large food courts and a wide selection of restaurants that will make anyone happy.

Al Safadi is in Diera (area near the airport) and is pretty good.

However, if you want to get to the Burj Khalifa I would just head straight over there. The airport to the Burj takes some time. Then see how much time you have afterwards.
