ISO great b'fast spot in Camarillo area

The Oracle Nov 2, 2011 01:54 PM

I'm getting together with a friend and Camarillo is the midpoint. Ideally, it would be somewhere with great coffee and tasty b'fast items.

Or, if there is a spot slightly north or south of Camarillo that's a hidden gem, I'm ALL EARS!

Thanks in advance!

For a reference point (if it helps): other b'fast spots we've enjoyed are Summerland Beach Cafe (Summerland), Marsten's (Pasadena), and Nick's Cafe (Los Angeles).

Edit to add: Any thoughts on Eggs N Things (in Calabasas) or Cafe Amri (in Oxnard)?

Thanks, everyone for your feedback. My post title was INCORRECT and should have read 'Camarillo' instead of "Calabasas".

We ended up at Eggs n' Things and it worked! I'd definitely go back. The coffee wasn't to my liking (my dining companion was fine with it) (seemed a little weak). They serve you a starter crepe - which I thought was a very nice touch. I ordered the California scramble and a side of veggies and it was perfect! No complaints from either of us - a solid find in Camarillo, for sure.

Egg and Things is the only quality Camarillo breakfast spot.
