Birthday Dinner for Foodies (price and location not a factor)

Its my husbands birthday on the 12th Nov. and since we are both foodies I wanted to treat him to an awesome and special dinner where money is not a concern. Some places that we have tried and really loved are Aria, Iberian pig, local 3, Pura Vida etc
Its weird but we have not tried Nikolai's Roof, Canoe or Bacchanalia as yet even though we have tried several times in the past. :) We are not against going there at all so these ar valid options for us. I really want this to be a great meal all in all.

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated!

  1. I think Bacchanalia and Canoe are both great choices. I haven't been to Nikolai's Roof so can't comment there, although I have a friend from Boston who raves about it. If money is no object and it's a special night, I'd pick Bacchanalia. Not sure if you can get a reservation this late, though. If all 3 of your original choices are booked, I'd go with La Grotta (the original Buckhead location) or Cakes and Ale or ESS.

Let us know where you end up and if you liked it!

    1. We went to Canoe recently for our anniversary and though the new fall menu was wonderful - full of game and fall veggies - the service was terribly slow. I think we waited 25mins between appetizers and entree, and we weren't drinking because I'm pregnant so the delays were really noticable.

      1. Bacchanalia is the best restaurant in town, but it might be difficult to get a reservation there this late for next Saturday.

        1. Tasting menu at Woodfire Grill.
