Kosher Thanksgiving in Chicago

  • 7

Hello,
does anyone in Chicagoland know about places that may have prefix meals or buffets for Thanksgiving?
Thanks!

  1. In the past Hy Life Bistro in Skokie (Fleshig cousin to Slice of Life) has had a Thanksgiving Buffet

and a very good one I might add, at least as of about 5 or more years ago. As an added bonus the owner did some (free) shots of single malt scotch with us.

    2. Hy Life Bistro has posted their signs for the Thanksgiving Day Buffet -

Too bad Shallot's is not doing anything. Thanks everyone!

Shallots does a Thanksgiving event every year. I usually go over there after Shabbat is out, I'll ask for you, if you like. We actually had Shabbat dinner with a family last week who had their Thanksgiving at Shallots last year and they said it was really excellent. I've ordered some of their Thanksgiving items in the past (soups, appetizers/finger food) and it was a big hit last year for us. Never had their full Thanksgiving dinner though.

I'll let you know what I find out! I'd almost be certain they're doing it again.

To follow-up on my own post -

Shallots is doing a Thanksgiving menu again this year. They didn't have a menu printed to show me, but they said it was going to be similar to last year's.

            Hope this helps!

Thanks for checking for me! I got the invitation yesterday by email, but unfortunately i don't think we can afford $80 per adult with an addition $35 per kid, it adds up to about $500 for our immediate family alone:( I would totally do it, if i didn't have kids to run after during the meal, but spending $500 and not even enjoying myself, I don't think I could do it. Oh well, it was worth a shot.
