Pok Pok coming to Columbia St.

The Brownstoner, with links to Eater and Grub Street reports that Portland's famous Thai< Pok Pok is coming to the Columbia Street Waterfront Neighborhood in a few months (a smaller snack bar should open sooner in Manhattan). A search of the Portland board reveals that this may be a great addition to the NY Thai scene and certainly a blessing to those of us looking for good Thai food in Brooklyn. http://www.brownstoner.com/blog/2011/...

    I live in Queens...eat at Srip, Chao etc all the time, for what it's worth. Visited Portland last year and went to Pok Pok. It was fantastic. If it's half as good Brooklyn is in for a treat.

      I loved it when I lived in Portland. I wonder how many more Stumptown imports NY will get over the next few years...

          This would definitely be a welcome addition if it's as good as everyone says it is, the plethora of Thai options in our neighborhood generally ranges from bad to mediocre.
