Average Italian-American food. Expensive for what it is. Eat at Roma D'Italia (as opposed to Roma Di Svizzera or Roma di Cina or Roma degli Stati Uniti) for better Italian for the same price.

I ate at Roma once and thought it was terrible. If Barolo is worse than that, and more expensive, then I will definitely stay away.

One in the area you might try, though it is pricey, is Da Vinci. It is (I know, I know...) in the motel just west of the bridge over the 55 on 1st Street. I work down the street and it is an occasional spot when the boss is springing for a close by nice lunch.
