steak for stag

Looking for a good resto that serves a good steak for a stag. Something other than a moishe's--something a little younger and less $$--lets say somewhere where $50-60 for dinner all in including a good steak, maybe not including wine (since we'll do some drinking before and after anyways). Thx.

How about Le Steak Frites St. Paul? I haven't been, so I can't vouch for it myself, but I know it's been recommended for stags before on this board, and it's apportez to boot.

There is also the 25$ after 9pm menu at Moishe's which is both cheaper than a regular meal there, and also feels younger as the crowd is not the same as earlier during the night

Apart from the obvious about Montreal not being a steak kind of town, your $60 budget (without drinks) means that you're looking at a meal around $45 before taxes and tip.

So, we're talking the multitudes of bistros that serve a steak, Schwartz's, perhaps l'Entrecote St-Jean, Gibby's (no appetizer), and the Keg. You could potentially do Queue de Cheval, but it'll be one of exactly two steak options (also no appetizers).
