Great Ideas for New Years' Eve Dinner?

My husband and I are going to be staying in West LA over the New Year. Any great ideas for a lively spot with a good, non-pre fixe menu for the night? We want to get dressed up so food trucks are out! We're from Northern Cal so we've been introduced to quite a few classic spots in LA.

im sure there are some places..but most over charge and usually its pre fixe. NYE is one of days I avoid eating out. Costs way toooo much.

I sooo agree but we want to get out for some good food before the crazies come out...

The Brentwood has always been a fun place on NYE and regular menu. People get a bit more dressed up and it's a lot of fun, particularly if you live in the neighborhood and can walk home.
