Leftover Buttermilk

I have almost a quart of buttermilk leftover from a cake recipe. I could make buttermilk mashed potatoes, pancakes, or fried chicken but I looking for some kind of soup with buttermilk as a base so I can use it all. Any suggestions?

  1. Cream of Broccoli soup has a buttermilk base, topped with cheddar cheese it's a wonderfully flavored soup.

    1. I freeze leftover buttermilk in small, 1-cup portions. It is occasionally perfect for last-minute buttermilk dressing or buttermilk-scrambled eggs.

I never thought to freeze it. Does it hold up well to freezing?
