In need of Manhattan restaurant recommendations for this Thursday and Friday!
A VERY special friend is coming to visit me in Manhattan this Thursday and Friday. I am looking for restaurant recommendations in Manhattan - I do not want to sound cliche, but I need a SUPER SEXY atmosphere with great food of course. On Thursday night we need to stay near midtown (I realize this is a challenge). But, Friday is open but want to stay in Manhattan - anything midtown and below is fine. I am open to all types of food.

What exactly is SUPER SEXY? Is that the same as romantic? Or something sceney where sexy model types and famous people hang out? Or just something that'll get you sex afterwards?

re: sgordon
Something dark and romantic, I would say Apizz in the LES. If by sexy you mean the watresses are super models and wearing minimal clothing then I would say.....no idea but if you go please let me know.
You might want to try Roberts, the steak house on top of the Penthouse club. The steaks are actually good.-----

How much are you willing to pay per person, before tax, and tip?
Are you willing to dine early or late in order to get a reservation, since you are asking so close to the date of the visit?
For Thursday night, Bar Room at the Modern has some good times left on OpenTable.
Friday night will be tough, especially downtown.

re: CJNYC13
I'm thinking one of the AvroKO restaurants. The wine room at Public (called the Monday Room) is very quiet, and set up like a cozy study. You enter by going through a door behind the host station so it feels a bit clandestine. They're on OpenTable. Both Public and the Monday Room are beautiful restaurants; they also have a new one on the Bowery called Saxon and Parole (formerly Double Crown).
