Thanksgiving "to go" Help on the shoreline in CT
After living in CA wine country, I have become convinced that getting Thanksgiving to go is a rather formidable option. When I use "to go", I mean that one still has to cook, however the food is already prepped and needs to be put in oven. I just moved back to the east coast and am looking for good restaurants who do the prep and package of thanksgiving meals like I was acquainted with in CA. I love to cook, albeit this year it seems rather untenable. Would anyone be kind enough to offer suggestions for restaurants or et al who do meals as such for 10-12 people? Preferably from Fairfield to Old Saybrook in terms of area. Have a house to cook/heat the goods.
Edd's Place in Westbrook offers full meal takeouts, but if you want 10-12 with the same menu it would be best to check with them beforehand. Another option is Pasta Vita in Old Saybrook which has frozen entrees, veggies and desserts and a few salads, though you can pick up salad stuff at almost any grocery store. Speaking of groceries, Roberts Food Center on Rt. 80 in Madison offers many pre-cooked foods, You should probably check with them for their Thanksgiving offerings.
