Excursion into Atlanta

Next week, I will drive into Atlanta to find a good discount wine store, food emporium and kitchen equipment store to furnish my new house in PTC. This will, of course, include lunch. If you have any suggestions for places to shop and restaurants near by, it would be appreciated.

Discount wine with a good selection, I would recommend Your Dekalb Farmer's Market with a stop at Southern Sweets. Very good sandwiches and desserts. Also, there is a Cook's in Decatur and you can stop at the Brickstore for a beer or two (BONUS!)

Went to DeKalb market last week and had a great time; also best prices for Cava we have found. Will certainly go back and hit Southern Sweets and Cooks, thanks

If you're coming in on a weekday, how about lunch at La Pietra Cucina, and shopping at Cooks' Warehouse. You should be able to find all you need for your kitchen there.
