Older wines, are they ok to drink?

I have two "older" wines that I have kept much longer than normal... Would they be ok to drink?
Mastantuano (Templeton CA) 2000 California Sangiovese
Walnut Crest 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon
Thanks!

Well, you may want to post this on the Wine CH board.... But the answer is yes, probably. They are way not too old; they're reds, which keep much better. However, I hope they haven't been in a hot place and they've been stored on their sides so the corks haven't dried out. There may be some sediment in them; that's fine, it won't spoil them, but set them upright a few hours before you want to open them, and pour slowly when you get about 2/3 of the way through the bottle's contents. And if you get some, it won't hurt you.

Interesting thing to do: When they're first poured, taste and sniff. Walk away for 10 minutes and then do it again. They will have changed, and probably will continue to do so. (After a while, they will stop this, but really old wines poop out very quickly, even the good ones.)
