think before you order

I went to Tango last night and the "iffy, MIXED" reviews on chowound were bang on.

Our drinks came AFTER the tapas started flowing, and there weren't any clean breaks between tapas arriving at our table. It was just a massive over flowingtable with too many tapas on it. The cheese fondue was not a fondue but a roux - NOT tasty AT ALL! The "stuffed" tenderloin was injected, slightly, not "stuffed", the humus had a collision with the sea salt and the sea salt won! In saying all of this the yorkshire pudding sliders were delicious.

The menu is great but the ingredients and service need some fine tuning ...

  1. I had a very similar experience there. Our tapas style dishes were not staggered at all.....everything landed on the table at once. Instead if building actual flavour in the dishes, the chef chose to dump obscene amounts of truffle oil on everything. Walked out of there feeling like I just ate a couple of whoppers and a large fries. I won't be returning.

    1. I too found the timing off. I had no real big complaints with the food but the server was horribly inexperienced. However, with that said, the manager made things right! I will give it one more try simply for that reason.
