Thanksgiving Restaurants

So my family is coming down to NOLA for Thanksgiving and I was wondering if restaurants are open in general for Thanksgiving night and if there any places with special Thanksgiving menus?

I'm a college student with limited info about restaurants and my family was hoping to go to a restaurant that's serving gumbo or crawfish etouffee dishes.

Thanks guys!

  1. I've never dined out for Thanksgiving so can't give any direct help. But I do remember several past threads on the subject so doing a Thanksgiving search should get you some answers.

    1. Hi jhozil! There are many places open for Thanksgiving that do offer special menus and many of them will have gumbo or etouffee on the menu! I have a couple of questions for you-How much money do you want to spend per person? Normally, our restaurants offer a set price for a three of four course menu. Is there a certain area you are looking in? Please let me know so that I may point you in the right direction. Sincerly, Ask Amy! Your New Orleans Concierge http://www.facebook.com/NOLAConcierge

      1. neworleansonline.com has just posted some restaurants open on Thanksgiving day. not sure if that's all or just some of them.

        1. I've gone to Commanders and found it to be delicious. For some reason I think Tujague's has a Thanksgiving menu, and they might have gumbo and etouffee.
