Where to go for lunch with toddlers?

jayemes Oct 29, 2011 04:54 AM

I'm looking for a place to meet a friend in Westchester where our toddlers can run around and play after they eat while we lounge with cappuccinos. I know Belizzi is supposed to have a play room, but I've heard a lot of bad reviews about their service/food. Anyplace else like that around?

You didn't specify any particular part of Westchester, but the Beanrunner Cafe in Peekskill exactly fits what you describe. The food is good and there is a lovely separate kids' playroom (even has a separate bathroom) where they'll be glad to serve your food/coffee, too.

Thanks Elisa - I'm in the Bronx and my friend is in Tuxedo Park, so I'm trying to find something in the middle. Peekskill actually isn't too bad. Ideally I'd say a little further south, but we meet up often enough that I can definitely give it a try!

Wobble Cafe in Ossining would be perfect. They have a little play area in the rear of the restaurant, where the owners' kids can often be found playing along with customers' kids. I've never been for dinner but breakfast and lunch are simple but great.
