Wedding Venues - Please Help!

My fiance and I are in the process of finding a venue that fits us perfectly. We are located in the Brampton area and we are struggling to find a location that can provide onsite facilites for a ceremony and reception. I'm really trying to stay within my budget but i'm finding that most venues start at 120 pp (open bar included). Is this reasonable?
If anyone can recommend a place that would be fab!

When you're looking at open bar, decide if you want a consumption bar or a per head bar. If you have a bunch of big drinkers, then a per head bar works, but most weddings are better to do consumption bar. In fact, I have a friend who is a venue planner and in the 10 years she has been a venue planner, only one group went over the consumption bar price. Just something to keep in mind. We saved a bunch of money when we did this for our wedding.

This is bang on. Whatever you do go with a consumption bar. 99.9 per cent of the time it will be the cheaper option. I was an event plannter for about 12 years and never once did I do an event where a per person bar would have been the better option.

That being said, I do think that in the GTA $120 for something all in is a rather reasonable price point. I tell brides to budget $100 to $150 if they want the big traditional wedding reception.
