Italian, Chinese, sports

Hi,

We're visiting Manhattan and have already done a lot of high-end stuff. This trip we're looking for recommendations on three things in particular: great Italian, great Chinese, and a good sports bar to watch our beloved Saints on Sunday (we've been to Bar None and it's cool, but we'd like input and options).

Thanks!

"Great Italian" is highly dependent upon price point. How much do you think you want to pay for non-high-end Italian? It's best to give a cost for food only, per person.

Thanks Kathryn. When I say "high end" I'm thinking Le Bernardin, Per Se, etc., cost isn't important, but "great" can span a wide range. So if you have a range of recommendations, that would be great. I don't mind paying for a great meal.

Have you done Babbo, Scarpetta, Locanda Verde, Maialino already? I assure Marea and Del Posto are maybe too pricey for this trip.

Assuming Del Posto and Marea are out, have you tried Scarpetta, Locanda Verde, Babbo, Maialino?

Where are you staying? Willing to travel from your digs? The Saints play at St. Louis this week so you'll need to find the NYC Saints bar that might be showing this game. Not sure where you are from and therefore what your exposure is to great Chinese. Plenty here.
