Report feature broken?

When I click Report, I get the usual dialog, but when I click Submit Feedback nothing happens. Tried both Chrome and MSIE on Windows 7.

  1. I just tried to report this post as a test of the reporting function, and got the exact same result. When I clicked on Submit Feedback, nothing happened; the report box remained on the screen. I'm in IE8 on Windows 7.

    1. We seem to actually be getting the feedback in the backroom, even if it isn't acknowledged properly on the front of the site. Sometimes, we're getting it 8 or 9 times, so we appreciate the persistence with which people are trying to reach us!

Does that mean you're going to fix it?

Well, we're not -- we're just the moderators. But as soon as Engineering gets in on the West Coast, we'll ask them to take a look.

            You rang?

The reports are definitely going through correctly, even though the page isn't responding graphically. Since it's a fairly superficial error, this shouldn't take long to fix. Our apologies for the confusion.

Something else is happening and I bet it's related. When I edit a post and click SAVE, I'm getting the little whirling icon and it stays up there for a loooooong time without getting resolved. After waiting, I refresh the page and my edit "took". So, like the reporting function, it appears that the edit/save function is operating properly, but doesn't display as resolved on the screen.

I was going to create a new topic here about this, but with the response confirming that the reports "took" (on the back end), it sure sounds like something similar.
