Hot spot/scene/amazing food places in South Beach?

Hi everyone,

My best friend and I will be traveling to Miami for my 30th birthday. I am looking to dine out in some awesome places. Price is no object...good meals with atmosphere with a fun vibe is very important to us. (Often a lot of scene places have average food at best and we want both to wow us:)) Planning to go to Prime 112 for my actual birthday but have a couple of other evenings to fill...any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the help!!!
Jessica

I'd recommend Hakkasan for sure. Great scene there. Same with Meat Market but you might not want to do steak again (although they have plenty of other offerings). I also like Nobu but not their sushi offerings really. Just over the 195 causeway in the Design District, Michael's Genuine Food & Drink is always busy and the food is fantastic, to me the best restaurant in Miami. Just over the 395 causeway in downtown, Zuma usually has a hoppin scene and many love the food there.

Also if you have not been to Nobu, that is an option if you have not tried their signature dishes.

More downscale, less expensive and certainly qualify as hot spots
      Pubbelly, Pubbelly Sushi, Barceloneta

Go a bit north to scarpetta and/or hakkasan in the fountainbleu.
