kincaid's in georgetown is terrific for seafood (incredible signature dish of grilled squid on a bed of polenta w/ fresh tomato compote and pesto); D.C.Coast for shrimp and grits; Zaitinya for terrific mediterranean small plates and stylish space; and Mini Bar for the most amazing meal of your life but need reservations way in advance.

Kinkaids and DC Coast are good for seafood but I wouldn't call them stylish...in fact they are rather corporate.
For "stylish" (whatever that means) I would head to Masa 14, Estadio, PS7, or Bibianna.

ooh I second Zaytinya. I love the food, the service is good, and every time I've brought out of town guests they rave about it and want to go back.
One really good dish is the Lamb Kleftico. It's not on the menu but it often on the specials, and sometimes even if its not on the specials, if you ask your waiter nicely they will make it special for you ;)

Price? Type of food? Neighborhood?

I tried to "piggy back" on a post from a DC chowhound requesting "stylish" options in Boston. The monitors moved my post so it seems out of context.
At any rate, my daughter lives in DC near Georgetown and whenever I visit her we have benefited greatly from the boards here. I thought I would steal the question and ask for "stylish" options in DC?
We are not too concerned about price(have yet to hit up Komi but will do soon)but appreciate good food. Just recently hit up Locolat, Kafe Leopold, Central Michel Richard and Bistro Cacao all were yummy. Hope that helps narrow my request;)

Estadio in Logan Circle is amazing food. Everything is good and the drinks are the BEST in the city.

I recently had dinner at Bombay Club and I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable evenings I've had dining out in DC in a while. First of all, the dining room is comfy, elegant, and clubby. There's a beautiful grand piano with a pianist playing most nights. If you go on a Friday or Saturday, you will be lucky to listen to Frank Plummer play. The waitstaff are professional and friendly. But the food is the best part! I've eaten many times at Rasika and love it, but I have to say, the next time I have a craving for indian, I'm heading to the Bombay Club for a truly great evening, this is a perfect setting to celebrate any sort of occaision.

But I wouldn't call Bombay Club stylish. It actually has a rather reserved feel to it. It probably is a little over due for a make over in terms of decor.
When I was there recently for dinner they even had a piano player. The food is delicious. But if stylish it what you are looking for I would go to the sister restaurant Rasika.

I think you have some good suggestions above. I would add Fiola and Proof. I second Bibiana, Masa 14, Zaytinya, Rasika and Estadio.
