Foo Foo Tei Ramen in Monterey Park

Chandavkl Apr 29, 2006 08:36 PM

I never could decide whether I liked Ramen Ya or Asahi Ramen better, but it's become moot since Foo Foo Tei in Monterey Park eclipses both of them. Not sure what it is about their noodle, but it's clearly better. I believe the Monterey Park location is a secondary branch with the original branch being in a semi-industrial area of the City of Industry. I heard that people were driving out from the Monterey Park area to the Industry location, so it made sense to open a branch in Monterey Park. It's at the south end of the same shopping center as New Concept. I believe the street address is 750 S. Atlantic.

If you like your ramen spicy, get the Shin Shin Ramen - a concoction you will not find at any of the other ramen houses. If I could only find menudo this spicy ...

The original location of Foo Foo Tei is in Hacienda Heights on Clark Ave.

i love the ramen selection there. there's a taste/ramen for everyone... and the small dishes are delicious too. the ambience is not all that but i go for quality of food... service is prompt and it's not too crowded (yet!). probably shouldn't post if i don't want it crowded, but i'm a sharing kind of guy. happy eating!
