Dinner near Berklee Performance Center?

We have tix to Zucchero on Saturday night at BPC, and am looking for recs for dinner before, somewhere within walking distance.

We'll just just about anything, and price isn't too much of an issue. We'd just have to be out by 7:30ish to get to the hall by 8pm.

  1. Towne, 5 Napkin Burger, Sonsie...

    1. I always go to Pad Thai Cafe before going to the BSO. Quick, cheap, and good Thai.

It's also not more than a 15 minute walk from Kenmore Square. You could consider Island Creek Oyster Bar or Eastern Standard. I'm sure both places would be good at getting you out on time if you told them in advance.

      Eastern Standard
528 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02215

      Island Creek Oyster Bar
500 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02215

      1. Capitol Grille. Consistant, comfortable and close.

        1. Eastern standard
          Island creek oyster
          Brasserie Jo
          Chili duck
          La Voille

          Brasserie Jo
120 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02116

          1. Lovely place across Mass Ave is Pho Basil doing Thai and Vietnamese.

            Pho Basil Restaurant
177A Massachusetts Ave, Boston, MA 02115

            1. Clio would probably take too long, but Uni wouldn't. Just a couple blocks up Mass Ave.

I'm also sad that I didn't realize Zucchero is coming to town until too late. Alas.

              1. while few CHs ever mention it, we have been very happy at Sonsie whenever we go to Berklee. 5 min. walk away, very professional efficient service and excellent food w/ large menu- by chef/owner. also a very handsome and comfy room.

                Sonsie - Boston
327 Newbury Street, Boston, MA 02115

                1. Across Mass. Ave on the other side of the turnpike is Bindhi Bazaar, a very good Indian restaurant, reasonably priced.

                  1. Thanks all for the recs. We had dinner at La Voile on Newbury, and it was great. The night's special was cassoulet, perfect for the snowy weather last night.

                    And Zucchero was just fantastic!
