I came across a couple of intriguing reviews of The Cannibal (from the owners of Resto). Has anyone tried it?

Bumping this up to see if anyone has been. Thinking of trying the half roasted pigs head with the wife for date night. :)

i have mixed feelings about the cannibal. i went once for a dinner with friends and had some pretty horrible service...took forever to get our food. but they comped us a bunch of stuff including beer and we left the place pleased overall. the portions are on the smallish side and pretty rich but after a few of the excellent beers, i didnt seem to mind.

ive subsequently been there for a party where food was comped as was the beer. everything we had was pretty excellent including the roast pig. ive also been there for lunch a couple of times with clients and enjoy the back garden quite a bit.

      HI
I've been to the Cannibal a couple of times since I used to live nearby. I agree with the other poster who said they had a rough dinner experience. Service can be slow. All the small dishes add up in price really fast and you dont leave full...but it is tasty. The beer is pretty extensive and the servers really know what they're talking about.
I think the Cannibal is a great lunch/early afternoon to evening sort of place. Perfect if you want to nibble your way through a few hours with friends and some great beer.
