Need help picking restaurant in Financial District.

I need to come up with a lunch recommendation for a fun, different, funky restaurant in the financial district for an out of town guests. No sushi, no budget, no Earl’s, South of Temperance or Real Sports Bar, nothing stuffy either.

Hey, I've never heard of that one. The menu looks pretty exciting. Got any details for us?

I'm not really good at reviewing places other than good/not good :) I think Swish is good, but great considering the area. Something that is more ethnic and fresh is rare in the Financial dsitrict, so we head there whenever we can. Usually just Saam sets, haven't tried much else of the menu, but everything is usually delicious.

Went to Modus for lunch today and it was absolutely delicious. It's on the main floor of 145 King Street West, at York. Not stuffy, but definitely not a sports bar! They definitely do take reservations. We were three people and had three different appetizers and three different entrees. Everyone enjoyed!

Slighty more upscale but not what I would call stuffy, you might want to consider Vertical.

lots of tables at 11:30 when lunch starts...none at noon....so go early!
