Hi all! Could anyone recommend a good place to eat at the bar nearby the Waldorf Astoria (50th and Park)? Does Felidia have a bar? Thanks all.

How much do you wish to spend before tax, tip, drinks/wine?

The Bar Room at The Modern perhaps?

Thanks Kathryn. Really I am up for anything money-wise. I've been to the Modern several times and have enjoyed it.

If you don't mind a longer walk, Le Bernardin's bar? L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon is not too far either. Sushi Yasuda?

Thanks Kathryn. Didn't think about Yasuda - always wanted to try it. Le Bernardin and Robuchon may be a little too fussy for me - or, at least that is my perception. Never been to Robuchon but have been to :LB. Had a sitdown meal with a friend and just didn't feel comfortable.

Fig and Olive at 52nd and 5th has very good food and a nice bar area, although is more casual than the other places mentioned, but check the website: http://www.figandolive.com/

There's Hillstone (formerly Houston's) beneath the Citicorp Building, on 53rd & Third. I've always liked the bar vibe there, and the food is what you'd expect -not of the calibre of the places already mentioned here, but good and unfussy, in my experience.

Another possibility nearby is La Fonda del Sol for tapas.
