looking for some casual spots near copley square
hi chowhounds - i'm traveling to boston from NY and staying in copley square. I am looking for a reasonably priced dinner spot that is good for a group with diverse taste in food. Some are foodies, some aren't, One is a vegetarian. Cuisine doesn't matter but nothing too adventurous. Let me know if you have a few suggestions. Thanks.
Within walking distance of Copley Square is Picco on Tremont Street. The place features pizza (some of the best in Boston) and ice cream, but also has other food items on the menu. It's funky and casual, and not too expensive.

If the group's not too big (say, more than six) I'd look at Coda on the corner of Columbus and Dartmouth. Everything's under $20, it's a good place for something as simple as mac and cheese and salad, and yet it's also the sort of place that lists the farms that sourced the ingredients on a chalkboard in the men's room.

Chili Duck for Thai
Parish Cafe for sandwiches and other American classics
Cafe Jaffa for Middle Eastern
The Delux for funky (but, same as Coda, it's very small)
Chinatown isn't that far of a walk and is a 2 stop T ride
Q Hot Pot is fun and can suit various tastes
