If you're willing to go to Brooklyn (I know, Chowhound Moderators, it's generally verboten to mention Brooklyn establishments on the Manhattan board, but...) the Downtown Bar & Grill has five different vintages of it available - could be fun to do a tasting of an older & newer one.

Sorry, I know it's too late but I just wanted to pile on that twitter is also a really great way to find mentions of beers near you. For example, I just saw that Good Beer, a beer store with taps in the East Village just put that stout on draft a few hours ago, and I thought of this post.

If you do go... you may also be interested in the Van Leeuwen ice cream shop a few blocks away which often has an ice cream flavor based on the brooklyn chocolate stout, oddly enough.
