Where can I buy..
...salted pecans and walnuts in bulk? The go-to places like Sahadi or Economy Candy only sell salted mixed nuts. I want ONLY salted walnuts and/or pecans in all their savory, unctuous gorgeousness. Where do I go????

Fairway carries both pecans and walnuts in the bulk "bins". But for the life of me I can't recall if they are salted. I think they are, but I'm not absolutely sure. (And, if it matters, I think the foodstuffs in the bulk bins at Fairway are generally priced better than the Nutbox.)

You could order on line from a number of sources. Bazzini's which used to be in NYC is now located in Pennsylvania and ships:

There's a place called the nutbox with a couple of locations in Manhattan, in Chelsea Market and Greenwich Village. I've been to the location in Brooklyn and they had a lot of bulk options; I would check the Manhattan locations to see if they have the same set-up.
