Pregnant co-worker nice birthday dinner in Schaumburg

My coworker has to spend her birthday with just me while we're on a business trip in Schaumburg. I'd like to take her out to a nice dinner in the area. Any suggestions? Looking on Chowhound, I see Wildfire, Maggianos, etc. I think someone told me there's a Nobu, but given she can't eat raw fish, this isn't the best idea.

Any suggestions? We will have a car but won't want to drive to far (e.g. Chicago), and higher end places are fine.

Thanks!

It sounds like you're looking for a "special occasion" type restaurant, something a bit more creative and upscale than, say, the typical steakhouse. I recommend Le Titi de Paris in nearby Arlington Heights. They serve contemporary French cuisine, and it's outstanding. They have some specials (such as a prix fixe menu) that make it not overly expensive, too. Typical attire is "business casual". It's a longtime favorite; I've had dinner there within the past year and it's still excellent. It's only about ten minutes from Woodfield Mall (which is probably what most people think of when they think of Schaumburg).

I'm very partial to Season 52 in Schaumburg. They have a lovely, seasonally inspired menu, the prices are decent, and the service has always been outstanding. And it's very pretty inside.

I ate dinner with friends at Seasons 52 a month ago, and I liked it. It's a national chain with an appealing concept: every item on the menu is under 475 calories. (You can view the menu on their website.) They pull it off very well; the food is tasty (you don't feel like they cut corners on behalf of calories), and the portion sizes are not skimpy (with the sole and welcome exception of dessert, served in mini portions in square shot glasses). The atmosphere is like a casual, lively, upscale steakhouse.
