Need lunch recs for weekday for very important client

I need to treat a very important client to lunch this week and have no idea where to bring him. He is from out of town and apparently likes "trendy spots" but I don't want to compromise food quality for trendiness... Thanks!

Downtown two of my favorites on Peel St are Le Piment Rouge or Ferreira.Great service, great food. Noise levels can be higher at Ferreira.

I was going to recommend Chasse et Peche, but I think maybe their lunches are done until the holidays?? Their website is ambiguous, so can anyone confirm? Its closer than Lawrence and they're consistent enough to ensure no slip-ups.

Otherwise Toque or 400 Coups are both great options if you're aiming to impress.

DNA is also an excellent choice for lunch. They have a great lunch menu that I believe you can check out ahead of time on their website, plus a great wine list. Has been a while since I have been there, however

i would second this recommendation - DNA has great food and appropriate setting for business - but according to their website they don't serve lunch. How about Graziella? Toque and 400 coups are also good choices.

400 coups used to be open only on Friday for lunch, I went once and was not happy with service and portion size.

This is true - I had forgotten it was only open Fridays. I cannot speak to the service or sizing, but maybe Toque is safest? I also can't find evidence that DNA still offers lunch.

Wow, I'm sort of surprised. I was there for lunch last summer, and I had a fantastic charcuterie plate and lamb burger.

Really disappointed they are not serving lunch anymore.

Lawrence? Caveat: I've never had lunch there but I've only seen good things and you can check out their daily menu on Twitter.

Downtown but I don't mind going to Old-Montreal, Plateau, Mile-End, Outremont.
