Really frustrated trying to talk to "live person" from BLUE INC.

hi all

a group of us from the berkshires are coming to boston for new years and i was put in charge of finding a restaurant for us. i really like the idea of BLUE INC. but i cant get ahold of anyone! i called their telephone number where you get a answering machine telling you to look online at their www for info and if you want to make a reservation then goto opentable.com you have the option to leave a message and i did, telling them my name & number and asking them to call me with NYE info. i also sent an email just asking if they had any info on NYE. this was a couple days ago and no answer to either...SUPER ANNOYING! i just want to talk to someone live! suggestions? TIA

      Did you call during evening hours when I assume someone has to be there? They gotta have someone on the phones then, right?

        i have tried to call morning, noon, and night and its only a recording. i just went to their facebook page and posted a question and it got deleted after a minute and then i posted it again just to make sure and it got deleted AGAIN. wtf?

          Then screw it, pick another place. Scampo, Island Creek Oyster, Rendezvous, Towne, Union, Bergamot, some of the new Kendall Sq places (haven't gone yet). Food isn't as wacky but you can talk to a real person.

            Completely agree. If they aren't concerned enough about your business to even make themselves minimally available, why give them your money? total13 mentioned a host of great places--Island Creek has a big space and an excellent menu. I'm sure they will do something for NYE and they have good customer service. Eastern Standard is another good option.

            Are you posting your question on their wall or are you sending a Facebook message? If you are posting on the wall, then it is a public space and likely to be deleted. You need to send them a private FB message.

              You can't do that with the "like" pages...only if the account is set up as a personal one.

                Maybe, but they should still respond to the wall post before deleting it, and suggest the best way to get in touch privately.

            Do a plan B.

            Do not wait till you get a response from this place and lose out at making another reservation at one of the busiest times of the year.

            After 3 times of trying to get reservations at a particular restaurant I leave it at that, there are others just as good that would be delighted at taking my money.

              being brand new, they may also not have their act together yet for new year's eve.

              but, yeah, i'd be super annoyed at not being able to reach anybody or get a call back. lousy customer relations. walk with your wallet and pick another spot.

                  Scampo has a much more extensive menu than Blue Inc. too
