Yes, once you manage to get yourself into the dining room at Ippudo, the tables are surprisingly spread out. There's a bit of a crush in the entryway, however, with everyone trying to get their name down, or waiting to be called.
Apparently, however, you can make a sort of same-day reservation if you're willing to arrive earlier in the day to get your name taken.
