Elgin BBQ??

Earthtokarmen Oct 23, 2011 06:54 AM

I was considering a trip to Elgin next weekend to check out Meyers and Southside Market but am wondering if these places are only good for sausage or if their other meats are good too? Brisket is most important to me if it makes a difference - so is one of them better for BBQ?

Southside Market brisket is close to perfect, IMO.

Do you still live in San Antonio? If you are and brisket is what you're after, drive a half hour further to Lexington to have the finest at Snow's. They're open Saturday mornings from 8am until they sell out. Get some pork steak while you're there.
