Laurier Gordon Ramsay- The new setting is fabulous from the logo to the atmosphere...but it ends there the food is mediocre we were 3 couples at the table and no one particularly enjoyed their meal it was slow to come greasy sauce was uninspiring chicken was ok. Dessert was better but nothing speacial. Price was good but won't be returning.

I think it would be useful if you named the desserts you are commenting on. I had the lemon pie, bread pudding both of which I found worthy of repeats ; on the other hand the chocolate cream pie which I sampled was nothing special but then I am not a big fan of chocolate desserts. I like it as prices are right, all is made inhouse including desserts and nearby . I certainly can understand people being disappointed with all the hype and perhaps coming from across town but I think he just decided to tweak up a notch the old setting and menu to appeal to masses than foodies per se and he seems to have succeeded from the lineups (do hope they can find a solution with the cool weather upon us).

Perhaps you should include the name of the restaurant you are reviewing.
