Pentagon City - any off the chart places worth checking out?

Looking for non-corporate restaurant for a laid back end-of-the week Friday dinner where the food is good. Ethnic definitely works.

    Nearby in Crystal City is Kabob Palace with amazing Afghani kabobs.

      Pentagon City is completely corporate. I suggest using the system of public transportation ( or a cab) to get to someplace real. Take the 16H bus to the Builders Square Plaza at Seminary Rd. and S. George Mason Drive. Eyo is a surprisingly spiffy sports bar and Ethiopian restaurant. High quality throughout, but avoid the Italian food and stick with the Ethiopian selections.

        my favorite in that area is Lebanese Taverna. The other places are mediocre....except Chevy's. Lame, I know, but I really enjoy going there for work functions.

        If you want to stay in PC, I think Lebanese Taverna is a good fit.
