Ironfish in Richmond on Lauderdale Drive

I bought the Living Social deal last week, and am now regretting it. I'll post after I get my courage up to try.

don't regret it. it was a good deal. it's not a bad place. especially not at half price...
i think it'll get better. hope it gets some china street flair.

i've been. went this past week. it was officially ok. i live here so i will go back because i want them to succeed and to have an interesting independent place in the west end. but i can't say it was amazing. my mom had a scottish wild salmon special that was outstanding. the tiramisu was classic and very good. the french press coffee was excellent and the service was working really hard. but don't get the eggplant fries appetizer. i thought the bronzino whole fish was just ok. not a bad preparation but not a lot of fish for the work. wine list looks interesting.

let me know what you guys think when you go. and i'll definitely comment if/when i get back.

I believe the White Anchovie (which suffered from an unfortunate name) had seafood master Matthew Tlusty at the helm in the kitchen which Ironfish does not. Tlusty will be the Executive Chef at Arcadia (opening soon in the former Cafe Gutenberg location).

I saw a nice Living Social deal for them today, too. The restaurant is part of the Pescado's family, which has two good restaurants already. I'd be willing to try them, based on my happiness with all my Pescado meals.
