Aggressive Yamadaya Expansion: Adding Westwood and Costa Mesa
Stopped by Yamadaya Torrance today for my obligatory bowl of ramen before going to LAX. Noticed a sign announcing openings in Westwood and Costa Mesa. There was an open date of Nov 11 for the Costa Mesa branch but given the planned and actual open date disparity of Culver City, I'm not sure what Nov 11 means.
I hope they can keep up the quality. Noticed a significant portion shrinkage today on the Yamadaya All Stars large portion. The chasu was sliced much thinner, kakuni was smaller (delicious and tender today), and much less bamboo topping.
Still a tasty bowl of ramen though.
