ISO Mrs. Prindables Type Caramel Apple Recipe

Every recipe I've found on the net uses pre-made caramels.
I want a recipe that uses homemade caramel, not unwrapped squares of Kraft caramels.

And I'm not just looking for a stand alone caramel recipe... I'm hoping for one that someone has used to make caramel apples, covered in chocolate and all those other yummy items, that Mrs. P uses.

So... Anyone have anything?
