1st Date Restaurant Suggestions

  • 5

I have a first date tomorrow night and he has given me the choice of restaurant. I would love to possibly go to a Greek restaurant in or around the zip code 77027. I really don't want anything too expensive because that's just not me but I do want something a bit intimate and maybe even a little fun. I am open to other cuisine suggestions and ideas.

Thanks for all your help!

  1. Sorry I'm no help on Greek & not expensive around the Galleria is tough. O'Porto wine bar on Richmond is fun with good food, but could ne loud for a 1st date. If you like a good sandwich, Jake's Philly Steaks on Chimney Rock near Westheimer is nice.

Does anyone know if One's a Meal is still open/good? It might fit the bill.

Another possibility a little bit further is Laurier Cafe on Richmond across from the Velvet Melvin.

Laurier Cafe would be great for a date! I also like Haven, off of Kirby tucked back in there on Algerian Way. It's not far from your target.

    2. AT ONE TIME Alexander the Great Greek on Alabama and Sage was a fantastic restaurant with some of Houston's best seafood. Have not been in years though. This would be first date worthy if still good.

      1. Please get back to us on where you finally went. And if there is a second date, I highly recommend Haven.
